So many adventures. So few times.

My life is pretty dull. I play with a toddler, watch a lot of Yo Gabba Gabba and experiment with the crock pot. I have no bed time and I find humor in Laffy Taffy jokes. Conan O'Brien is my anti-drug.

Crowdtap and Old Navy! - Swimsuit edition

I was given the opportunity to do a sample & share through Crowdtap for a free swimsuit for myself and a friend. I've been on a total kick with swimsuit purchases this year - especially since I've been busting my butt to lose weight. (Down 35 pounds as of today! WOO HOO!) I had to go through the suits I'd already ordered from Old Navy, but ended up finding a few styles online that I hadn't already fallen in love with/splurged on unncessarily.

Today, the munchkin and I ventured down to Illinois to see our good friends Mel & Annabelle for a Dunkin Donuts date and to pick up our free swimsuits. First and foremost, could it have been a more miserable day in the ChiWI region?! 48 and rainy, and we're going swimsuit shopping. Ha!

We walked in to the neighboorhood Old Navy store and averted our eyes until we could find the swimsuit section.

I'd like to say that Mel and I both hesitated and were tame about picking out suits, but that just wasn't the case. We each loaded up our carts and made a beeline for the dressing room! Mel went in first while I did my best to keep the little ladies entertained.

That didn't go so well. Annabelle wasn't too entertained by my antics of peek-a-boo and "Where's Emma??". Regardless, Mel came out and modeled her chosen suit for us. Dang, girl looked good! (Mel, for your modesty I'll refrain from posting your swimsuit shot.) I'll just keep it real with everyone: That suit looked REALLY good on her. Period.

Next, I grabbed my haul and marched into the scary little mirrored room. I tried on a red striped suit, a chevron striped number (too low cut for my girls) and a gray halter one piece (the color washed me out, and my size wasn't available in the other colors. Darn!). I should have just left the red suit on - I was so pleased with it! Who woulda thunk that horizontal stripes would actually be slimming, ya know?!

Before we checked out, we took a quick shot of the two of us by the flip flops.

Thanks Old Navy and Crowdtap for giving us the opportunity to take home some hot suits for that magical time when it's no longer 48 and rainy in Southeastern Wisconsin!
