So many adventures. So few times.

My photo
My life is pretty dull. I play with a toddler, watch a lot of Yo Gabba Gabba and experiment with the crock pot. I have no bed time and I find humor in Laffy Taffy jokes. Conan O'Brien is my anti-drug.

Let's talk about a gorgeous necklace with my name.

A while back I was given the opportunity to receive a free monogram necklace valued at around $70 in exchange for a review, from Monogram Online. Obviously I jumped at the chance - who wouldn't love the chance for a lovely necklace with my name?! I'm sure you all would love to have a Buffy necklace. Obviously.

I placed my order and promptly received a notification that it was in production. Several weeks later I received the necklace!

It's lovely, really. Solid feeling, and would make a gorgeous gift. It even came with a sweet little velvet gift bag!

The chain is delicate and simple, which is exactly what I love in jewelry. I'd say that my only critique is that the name is a little bigger than I was expecting, but when I busted out the ol' ruler it's pretty much on point.

There are a gazillion options of necklaces and other monogrammed and custom jewelry to choose from, and would make SUCH a sweet gift for your special lady (or gent. Or kid. Or whatever). Go check out www.monogramonline.com! Buffy approved.

The great cosmetic purge of 2015

It finally snowed, so I was all gungho in going outside with the fam during T's nap time for some intense sledding. Then, the wind blew once and I decided I'd be much happier not being outside. (Because, not cold inside). I took a shower and washed off the dried sweat from three workouts and then glanced over at my cosmetics. It was time. Time for the purge.

A few weeks ago, I noticed that I couldn't find tweezers. I have multiple pairs, so it seemed pretty weird. Or... maybe not weird. Maybe.

But seriously, look at how disgusting my makeup is organized. I decided to lay it all out and chuck anything I haven't used recently and/or purchased recently. I keep all these mascaras I've used once but hated. I have two or three bottles of the same foundation. It's borderline ridiculous.

ALL THIS -> into THIS -> ??

Two of the same blush. I chucked the one that was almost empty. Also side note, this is hands down the most flattering blush, ever. It's NYX in Pinched - a rosey shade with peach shimmer. So pretty! In other news, this Miss Manga Voluminous mascara (Loreal I think?) is absolutely horrible. I'm a mascara hobag and this is absolute crap. On the flip side, I was sent this tube of Mary Kay lashlove and it's AMAZING. I was shocked at how much I loved it. I did throw away this tube because it's well past its 3 month lifespan, but I'm also planning to buy another tube.

I bought the bottle of Benetint before Brett and I got married, so there's that.

Check out my trash bag! So flipping therapeutic!

And after! Isn't that SO much better? I can actually find what I need. I still have a crapton of makeup but it looks soooo much better. Now to tackle the hair products...

I finished just in time for the pumpkin butt to come screaming into the house post-sledding, demanding hot cocoa with one-two-free marshmallows because she's free years old. Yup.

Answer me this: What is one point of your life that you need to purge? Cosmetics like me? Gym clothes? Shoes? Answer below for a virtual high five.

New Years Happened

Yup. Time for the annual "Look back fondly on the past year and make absurd goals for the upcoming" post!

2014

I popped a kid out, lost weight, stopped breastfeeding and gained weight. I further developed amazing relationships with some awesome women, and in turn felt abandoned by others. I made bad decisions, I made great decisions and I FINALLY finished watching Breaking Bad with my amazing husband. I turned 30, I aggressively chopped my hair off and I discovered that I no longer need white wine in my life - I'm so perfectly content just chugging reds. I learned to drop the discomforts of baring my body while breastfeeding, I was purchased a really, really nice vehicle by Brett and I ate my weight in pizza (happily).

2015

I want to get down to a size 10 and beyond. I want to eat clean as often as possible. I want to take a photo every. single. day and compile a photo book at the end of the year to reflect. I want to again save enough money separately that I can buy a luxurious Christmas present for Brett without thinking twice. I want to help people learn how to get freebies as it's a passion of mine. I want to crochet a blanket, and sew dresses, and run a 7 minute mile, and finally find that perfect shade of red lipstick.

It's good to have goals, folks.
